Travel Options...

Although a holiday on Scilly is still within the UK, travel can still be disrupted and so we strongly recommend and urge all guests to take out appropriate holiday insurance cover to include cancellation and travel disruptions due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

Arriving by Air

Isles of Scilly Travel operates scheduled aeroplane Skybus flights to St Mary’s from Newquay (30 mins), Exeter (1 hr) and Land’s End (15 mins) with a shuttle bus to and from Penzance train station.

More information is available at www.ios-travel.co.uk

Penzance Helicopters operates from Penzance and the flight to St Mary's takes 15mins.

More information is available at www.penzanceheliport.co.uk

We highly recommend taking out travel insurance as sometimes delays can occur due to weather conditions.

Arriving by Sea

Isles of Scilly Travel also operates a passenger ferry, Scillonian III, which sails six days a week (seven in peak season) departing Penzance in the morning and St Mary’s in the afternoon. The Scillonian sails from March to October and takes just over 2.5 hours. For further information please visit www.ios-travel.co.uk.

Arriving to Departure Points

Passengers can drive or take the train to any of the connecting air or sea departure points. All departure points are easily accessible by road or rail (except Newquay) and each airport offers parking facilities.

Isles of Scilly Parking and Scilly Parking offer a secure parking service close to Penzance Harbour. Scilly Parking is a six minute minibus drive away from Penzance Quay and they will take Scillonian passengers to the quay and collect them on their return. Skybus passengers can be taken to Penzance train station to be collected by the Skybus shuttle bus. Westwinds Car Park offer secure parking next to Land's End airport (a matter of metres from the airport).

Island Arrival and Departure Information

If you are arriving on the Scillonian then all luggage must be clearly labelled with the apartment name to be delivered by Island Carriers (and placed in the delivery container on Penzance Quay). Luggage will automatically be transferred from the shipping container into the Island Carriers van on St Mary’s Quay and be delivered to the apartment for a nominal fee per item. When paying at the Carriers office for delivered luggage a day can be booked for luggage collection on departure.

To collect luggage on St Marys quay it must be put in the collection container on Penzance Quay and passengers must wait for it to be unloaded from the container.

If arriving by plane or helicopter then Island Transfers shuttle buses will be at the airport to take passengers to the apartment for a small fee and the driver will arrange a pick up time on departure.
